Welcome to 2017!

The soothsayers and experts are out in force at the moment given (inter alia);

• it is the beginning of the year
• it’s a great chance to justify their existence and
• there is a huge amount going on, none bigger than this Friday’s Trump inauguration.

In the piece attached, Howard Marks beautifully and simply articulates his observations on ‘experts’ and ‘forecasters’, and puts into perspective for us just how meaningless the information we are subjected to about the future actually is.

Enjoy the read if you have the time or inclination … nothing you wouldn’t already know but isn’t it great to come across material which supports one’s view and biases … Guilty here!!
